Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Hyderabad to Srisailam (213 km, 4–5 Hours Drive)

We'll start your Jyotirlinga trip by picking you up from your preferred location — Hyderabad Airport or Railway Station. Our driver from Namaste India Trip will come to pick you up and take you to Srisailam. If you've booked a guide, they'll travel with you all day to assist.

On the way, you'll visit:

  • Srisailam Dam — one of the largest hydroelectric projects in India across the Krishna River
  • Bhramaramba Devi Temple — the Shakti Peetha within the main Srisailam temple complex, where Goddess Sati's neck is believed to have fallen
  • Sakshi Ganapathi Temple — a small but special temple; people believe the Pandavas visited here during their pilgrimage
  • Hatkeshwar Temple — an important Shiva temple near the main Srisailam complex
  • Octopus View Point — enjoy the panoramic view of the Krishna River between hills; its shape resembles an octopus (a great photography spot)
  • Chenchu Lakshmi Tribal Museum — a small museum showcasing the culture of the Chenchu tribal community native to the Nallamala Hills
  • Pathala Ganga — many visitors come here for boating on the Krishna River and to see the caves below. A great spot for nature lovers.
  • Srisailam Ropeway — aerial ropeway ride with views of the Nallamala Hills and Krishna River below

After you arrive, check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit the holy Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Temple located on the Nallamala Hills for evening Darshan. Enjoy your overnight stay at Srisailam.

Note: Mallikarjuna Temple timings: Morning Darshan 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM | Evening Darshan 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The temple is closed 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM for afternoon rituals. VIP Darshan (₹500) available online at srisailadevasthanam.org. Sparsha Darshan (₹500) available Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from January 2026.

Day 02 Srisailam to Hyderabad (214 km, 4–5 Hours Drive)

Start your day with prayer at Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple for morning Darshan (opens at 4:30 AM; plan to reach by 5:00–6:00 AM for smoother entry). Then explore the following:

  • Sri Bhramaramba Ammavari Shakti Peeth Temple — Goddess Sati's neck is believed to have fallen here. One of the 18 Mahashaktis and an important Shakti Peetha.
  • Paladhara-Panchadhara — a very beautiful natural spot surrounded by dense forest. If you get a chance, try camping here.
  • Sikharam Hill — climb to the top to visit Shikaresvara Temple, with panoramic views of the Nallamala Hills and Krishna River valley
  • Sakshi Ganapathi Temple and Pathala Ganga — don't forget to take a boat ride on the Krishna River here

Later, drive back to Hyderabad. If time permits, visit the Statue of Equality near Hyderabad Airport — a 216-feet tall statue of Sri Ramanujacharya, inaugurated in February 2022. Spend a comfortable overnight stay in Hyderabad.

Day 03 Ramoji Film City

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Then proceed for a full-day tour of Ramoji Film City.

Ramoji Film City is one of the world's biggest and most famous film studios — listed in the Guinness World Records as the world's largest film studio complex, covering approximately 2,000 acres. Established in 1996, the Ramoji Group created a destination that takes visitors on a film experience unlike any other. Inside you will find large film sets, gardens, lakes, artificial waterfalls, European and rural settings, entertainment shows, and shopping plazas — all within a well-maintained campus.

Enjoy a day full of entertainment, shows, and sightseeing. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Hyderabad.

Note: Ramoji Film City entry tickets and activity charges are NOT included in the package price — paid directly at the venue.

Day 04 Hyderabad Sightseeing and Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. The places you visit today will depend on your departure time. Your driver will adjust the sightseeing based on how many hours you have before your flight or train.

Places you'll explore today:

  • Golconda Fort — the 16th-century hilltop fort built by the Qutb Shahi dynasty. Try clapping at the entrance — the sound travels nearly a kilometre due to the fort's acoustic design, which in ancient times helped warn soldiers of approaching enemies.
  • Nehru Zoological Park — one of the largest zoos in India, home to tigers, lions, and many exotic birds and animals
  • Salar Jung Museum — one of India's most visited museums, housing one of the world's largest single-owner collections of art and antiquities
  • Chowmahalla Palace — the former palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad, famous for its Baroque architecture and stunning courtyards. Took approximately 100 years to build.
  • Charminar — the iconic 16th-century monument at the heart of old Hyderabad. Visit in the evening if possible; the coloured lights make it look especially beautiful after dark.
  • Laad Bazaar — the famous market next to Charminar, known for bangles, pearls, and traditional Hyderabadi jewellery and accessories
  • Hussain Sagar Lake and Lumbini Park — drive through if time allows before your departure

After sightseeing, you'll be dropped at Hyderabad Airport or Railway Station. Your Srisailam Mallikarjuna travel package ends here with happy memories!

Note: Hyderabad city sightseeing is not available on Fridays — many historical monuments and museums remain closed. Please plan your departure day accordingly.
