Itinerary Details

Day 1 - Arrival at Indore

Our team representative will greet you at Indore Airport /Railway Station upon your arrival.
Thereafter, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Check in!
Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 - Indore - Ujjain Sightseeing

Relish the morning breakfast and then get ready for a sightseeing tour of Ujjain
First, you’d be taken to the Mahakaleshwar temple, which is also one of 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
Later, you’ll be taken to other temples, such as the ISKCON temple, Shakti Peet, Harsiddhi Temple, Sandipani Ashram, and Bade Ganesh Ka Mandir. A visit to Ram Ghat will also be arranged.
Also, take part in the evening Aarti at the Mahakaleshwar temple, which is quite a sight to behold.
Get a restful night of sleep at the hotel.

Note: If you wish to attend the Bhasm Aarti, then book in advance at the official portal.

Day 3 - Ujjain - Omkareshwar

Enjoy a delicious meal in the morning and then get ready for the tour to Omkareshwar, which is yet another Jyotirlinga.
First, take a holy dip in the Narmada River and then proceed to the Darshan in the Omkareshwar shrine.
Afterwards, you’ll be taken for a trip to the Mamleshwar temple, which is located at the bank of the Narmada River.
Also, take part in the Parikrama of the Narmada River, which is about 7 km in distance. You can also enjoy a boat ride here (on a direct payment basis).
If time permits, you’ll be taken to The Statue of Oneness, which is a monument of Adi Shankaracharya.
Enjoy an overnight stay at Omkareshwar.

Day 4 - Omkareshwar - Indore

Have a hearty breakfast.
Afterwards, you’ll be taken for sightseeing at Rajwada and Lalbagh Palace.
Later, you’ll be dropped off at Indore Airport / Railway Station, from where you can continue your further journey.

The Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar Temple is actually free of cost. All you need to do is book it in advance online. The ideal period for advance booking is 30 days, and all you have to produce is a valid government ID.

What to wear in the Mahakaleshwar Temple?

The Mahakaleshwar Temple follows a strict dress code. If you’re there for normal Darshan, then wear modest, non-revealing clothes. And if you’re attending the Bhasma Aarti, then traditional attire is a must. Women must wear a Saree or other ethnic attire, and men must wear a Dhoti without a shirt.

How much time will it take for Darshan at Mahakaleshwar Ujjain?

On any normal day, it would take you about 1 to 2 hours. However, if you visit during festivals, the Sawan Month, or even on a Monday, when the pilgrim traffic is larger than normal, then it might take you about 3-5 hours. You can also buy a VIP Darshan pass, which helps you skip queues and do Darshan in about half an hour.
