Chardham Yatra Package From Delhi

Tour Overview

The Chardham Yatra package from Delhi covers all four sacred shrines of Uttarakhand's Garhwal Himalayas in one complete circuit. As you tour the four sacred dwellings of the Hindu Gods - Gangotri, Kedarnath, Yamunotri, and Badrinath - you will experience the spiritual energy of Devbhoomi across 11 days. These four shrines hold immense importance in Hindu mythology. Situated in Uttarakhand's Garhwal region, they mark the spiritual source of four holy rivers: the Yamuna (at Yamunotri), the Mandakini (at Kedarnath), the Ganges (at Gangotri), and the Alaknanda (at Badrinath). Hindus believe that the gates of salvation open for those who undertake the Char Dham tour. It is also believed that every Hindu must undertake this journey at least once in a lifetime.

In 2026, Yamunotri and Gangotri open on 19 April, Kedarnath on 22 April, and Badrinath on 23 April. Char Dham Yatra registration is free and mandatory for all pilgrims - register at registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in before departure.

When you book the package from our website you don't need to worry about any aspect of your tour. Our package includes everything ranging from accommodation to transportation and sightseeing. We also give you the option to customize the packages and have a tailor-made trip. If you have any special requests we will even try to accommodate that because your satisfaction is our priority.

Practical Tips for Chardham Yatra from Delhi

  • Yatra registration before leaving Delhi: Free at registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. For May–June travel, register 10–15 days before your Kedarnath visit date — daily cap fills fast during peak season.
  • Yamunotri trek starting point is Jankichatti only: Private vehicles park at Jankichatti. The 6 km trek begins here. Pony and palanquin available at Jankichatti — negotiate rates before hiring.
  • Kedarnath trek is 16 km from Gaurikund: All private vehicles stop at Sonprayag — government shared jeep covers the 5 km to Gaurikund. Start the trek from Gaurikund by 7:00 AM. Authorities may turn back trekkers starting after 2:00 PM.
  • Do not skip the Sitapur/Guptkashi overnight: This halt at ~1,319–1,700 metres is your natural acclimatisation before Kedarnath (3,583 metres). Skipping it significantly increases altitude sickness risk.
  • Altitude sickness: Symptoms — headache, nausea, breathlessness — are common above 3,000 metres. Descend immediately if they worsen. Medical post at Kedarnath base camp. Consult your doctor about Diamox if you have cardiac or respiratory conditions.
  • Badrinath afternoon closure: Temple closes 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM daily. Use this time for Tapt Kund (hot spring at temple entrance, free) or Mana Village (3 km from Badrinath — India's last village before the Tibet border).
  • Mobile phones at Kedarnath: Banned within 50 metres of the temple. Carry a printed copy of your Yatra registration QR code — mobile networks on the trek are unreliable.
  • Cash on the route: ATMs at Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, Rudraprayag, and Joshimath. Beyond Joshimath and on the Kedarnath trek, cash is scarce in peak season. Withdraw sufficient cash at Rishikesh or Haridwar.

Plan Your Chardham Yatra from Delhi in 2026

The Chardham Yatra from Delhi covers four shrines across 11 days — Yamunotri (opens 19 April), Gangotri (opens 19 April), Kedarnath (opens 22 April), and Badrinath (opens 23 April). The 16 km Kedarnath trek from Gaurikund and the mandatory Yatra registration are the two things most first-time pilgrims need guidance on — both are handled as part of this package.

Kedarnath has a daily pilgrim cap in 2026. For May–June travel, registering early makes the difference between your preferred date and a backup. September–October slots are more flexible with equally good weather.

En route, stop at Guptkashi, a small town in the Kedar-Khanda region that played an important role in the Mahabharata era. Guptkashi houses two ancient temples: the Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the Ardhnarishwar Temple, where Lord Shiva is depicted in his unique form symbolizing the synthesis of feminine and masculine energies. After arriving at Sitapur, check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
