Welcome to Agartala! Our representative from Pilgrimagetour will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel for check-in and some rest.
After some rest, proceed for Agartala sightseeing and visit-
Spend your evening exploring the Indo-Bangla Border. Alternatively, you can explore markets to buy handmade bamboo and traditional clothes. Have a comfortable night stay in Agartala.
Note- Ujjayanta Palace stays closed on Monday.
After breakfast, travel to Udaipur and visit the sacred Tripura Sundari Temple (Matabari), believed to be the spot where Goddess Sati’s right foot fell as Lord Shiva performed the Tandava.
Once Darshan is complete, drive to Chabimura and enjoy a boat ride on the Gomati River to explore the old rock statues of Devtamura Hills (Don't forget to take photos).
Then, see the 20-foot-high rock-cut statue of Devi Chakrakma (Mahisasurmardini Durga), with snakes in her hair, located above the river. It is around 500–600 years old.
If you are adventurous, you can go for a 200-meter trek to Chabimura Cave. It’s not recommended for elderly people or small children.
Explore Neermahal Water Palace, located on Rudrasagar Lake. Take a boat ride to see its stunning architecture. Fun fact- It’s the largest water palace in India and perfect for photos.
Next, go to Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary to see different animals, especially the unique monkeys. You can also see rare birds (Closed on Friday).
Return to Agartala in the evening and explore Purbasha Handicrafts Emporium, where you can find beautiful bamboo, cane, and handmade items. Overnight stay in Agartala.
Begin your day by visiting Kailashahar.
Explore Unakoti first to see its amazing rock art.
Unakoti is famous for a fascinating story - Lord Shiva arrived with many gods and goddesses here. He asked them to go to Kailash before sunrise, but they didn’t, so in anger, he turned them into rocks.
Next, visit Hum Hum Waterfalls, a beautiful place in the middle of nature (best photo spot),
Then, go to the Rajkandi Reserve Forest.
After a day of exploration, return to Agartala for an overnight stay.
