Chardham Yatra Package from Ahmedabad 2026

Tour Overview

The 14 Days/13 Nights Chardham Yatra Package from Ahmedabad covers the spiritual essence of four of the holiest shrines in India — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. This is not just an ordinary trip. Each of these four dhams holds a distinct place in Hindu faith: Yamunotri is the seat of Goddess Yamuna and the origin of the Yamuna River; Gangotri is set about 19 km from Gaumukh where the Ganga originates; Badrinath is the sanctuary of Lord Vishnu, worshipped here as Badrinarayan; and Kedarnath, situated near the headwaters of the Mandakini River, is one of the most revered Shiva temples in the country. The Kedarnath Temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century — a conical rock formation symbolising Lord Shiva is worshipped inside.

When you complete all four dhams, there is a peace that is hard to describe. Our package takes care of accommodation, meals, transfers, and activities — so you can focus entirely on the yatra. Packages can also be customised to suit your group size and budget.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 Ahmedabad to Delhi

Your Chardham Yatra Package from Ahmedabad begins as you travel from Ahmedabad to Delhi, either by train or flight at your convenience. On arrival in Delhi, check in to your pre-reserved hotel and rest overnight.

Day 02 Delhi to Rishikesh

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. If you have time, explore famous Delhi landmarks on your own — India Gate, Akshardham, or Chandni Chowk. In the evening, begin the overnight journey to Rishikesh. On arrival, transfer to your pre-booked hotel, have dinner, and rest.

Day 03 Rishikesh to Barkot

After breakfast, visit famous institutions that define Rishikesh's spiritual character — Geeta Ashram, Sivananda Ashram, and the iconic suspension bridges Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Then continue towards Barkot. En route, stop at Kempty Falls and enjoy views of Mussoorie. Arrive at Barkot by evening and check in.

Day 04 Barkot to Yamunotri and Back

Today you visit Yamunotri — the origin of the sacred Yamuna River. Drive from Barkot to Janki Chatti, then take the 5–6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple set amidst the Champasar Glacier. At the temple, take a bath in the Jamnabai Kund hot spring, then seek the Goddess's blessings. After darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot for overnight stay. Pony/doli available at your own cost.

Day 05 Barkot to Uttarkashi

Drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi (~95 km, 4 hours). En route, stop at Prakateshwar Mahadev Cave, steeped in mythological significance. On reaching Uttarkashi, freshen up and visit Shakti Temple and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Nestled on the Bhagirathi River banks, Uttarkashi has an ambiance similar to Kashi. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 06 Uttarkashi to Gangotri and Back

Drive to Gangotri (~100 km each way). En route, stop at Harsil — one of the most scenic spots on the entire Chardham route. At Gangotri, take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River, then seek the blessings of Goddess Ganga at the Gangotri Temple. Drive back to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.

Day 07 Uttarkashi to Srinagar (Uttarakhand)

Today, enjoy the scenic drive to Srinagar in Garhwal, Uttarakhand (not Kashmir). En route, make a brief stop at Tehri Dam — the tallest dam in India and Asia at 260.5 metres. The reservoir view from the dam is striking. Arrive at Srinagar and check in to your hotel.

Day 08 Srinagar to Sitapur

After breakfast, drive to Sitapur from Srinagar. En route, stop at Dhari Devi Temple in Kalyasaur — situated on a rock in the Alaknanda River, it is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths. Many pilgrims consider this the most spiritually charged stop of the entire yatra. Arrive at Sitapur and check in.

Day 09 Sitapur to Guptkashi

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi alongside the Mandakini River. On the way, you pass Rudraprayag — the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Check in to your hotel and take some time to explore the local markets or visit nearby temples. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Day 10 Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Wake up very early (1–3 AM) and drive to Gaurikund, the base camp for the Kedarnath trek. The trek covers 16–18 km one way with considerable elevation gain. As you climb, the views of lush valleys and snow-covered peaks make the effort worthwhile. On reaching Kedarnath Temple, seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. In the evening, visit Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the temple and attend the evening aarti. Trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi for overnight stay. Pony/doli/helicopter available at your own cost.

Day 11 Guptkashi to Badrinath

Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath (~155 km). En route, pass the sacred Panch Prayag confluences — Karnaprayag (Alaknanda–Pindar), Nandprayag (Alaknanda–Nandakini), and Vishnuprayag (Alaknanda–Dhauliganga). Visit the Narasimha Temple in Joshimath. Arrive at Badrinath, check in, and spend the evening exploring the town and nearby temples.

Day 12 Badrinath Darshan & Mana Village

Take a bath in Tapt Kund (natural hot spring, also called Suryakund) before the temple opens, then attend darshan at Badrinath Temple and seek Lord Vishnu's blessings. After darshan, visit Brahma Kapal for pind daan if required. Then drive 3 km to Mana Village — the last Indian village before the Tibet border. Visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul, and the 'Mukh' (mouth) of the Saraswati River. Return to Joshimath/Pipalkoti for overnight stay.

Day 13 Joshimath/Pipalkoti to Rishikesh

After breakfast, drive towards Rishikesh. En route, stop at Devprayag — where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the Ganga. Visit Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula in Rishikesh. If time permits, attend the evening aarti at Triveni Ghat. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Day 14 Rishikesh to Delhi

Enjoy breakfast and check out. Drive back to Delhi (~250 km, 5–6 hours). The Chardham Yatra comes to an end today. From Delhi, board your train or flight back to Ahmedabad, carrying the blessings of all four dhams.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the best and easiest way to go for Chardham Yatra from Ahmedabad?

Haridwar and Rishikesh are the main starting points for the Chardham circuit. From Ahmedabad, most pilgrims take a train to Haridwar (Yoga Express, Haridwar Express, or ADI YNRK Special) or fly to Dehradun. Once there, a private taxi or our tour vehicle takes you through the entire Chardham circuit. Our package handles all transport, hotels, and meals from Delhi onwards.

How many days are needed for Chardham Yatra from Ahmedabad?

Our standard package is 13 Nights/14 Days including the Delhi transit. If you count only the Chardham portion from Haridwar/Delhi, it takes 10–12 days. Helicopter packages can complete the four dhams in 6–7 days. The duration can be customised.

Can you take a direct flight from Ahmedabad to Chardham?

No direct flights to any of the four dhams. Most pilgrims fly from Ahmedabad to Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport) and then travel by road to the Chardham circuit. Alternatively, take a train to Haridwar or Delhi.

What is the Chardham Yatra package cost from Ahmedabad?

Standard private packages start at ₹40,900 per person (double sharing, 13N/14D, breakfast included). Group tour packages start from ₹23,499 per person. Premium packages with all meals and 3-star hotels start at ₹55,000. Helicopter packages start at approximately ₹1,20,000. All prices are exclusive of 5% GST and Ahmedabad–Delhi transport.

What challenges should I expect during Chardham Yatra?

The most common challenges are altitude sickness (headache, nausea, breathlessness) at Kedarnath and Badrinath, the physically demanding 16–18 km Kedarnath trek, unpredictable mountain weather, and occasional road blockages due to landslides during or after monsoon. Carrying medicines, packing warm clothes, and choosing a reliable tour operator significantly reduces these risks.

Can I extend the Chardham Yatra duration?

Yes. Our private packages are fully customisable. You can add extra days at any destination — an additional day at Rishikesh for spiritual activities, or extra time at Badrinath for Mana Village and Brahma Kapal. Let us know your preference at the time of booking.

What kind of food is included in the package?

Standard packages include daily breakfast. Premium packages include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All meals on the Chardham route are purely vegetarian — non-veg food is not available near any of the four dhams. If you prefer Gujarati food throughout the journey, this can be arranged as an add-on (~₹2,000/person).

Can the Chardham Yatra package from Ahmedabad be customised?

Yes. We offer fully customisable private packages — choose your departure date, vehicle type (Sedan, Innova, Traveller, or coach), hotel category, meal preference, and specific sightseeing stops. Kedarnath helicopter arrangements can also be added. Contact us for a personalised quote.

Can pregnant women undertake the Chardham Yatra?

Pregnant women are generally advised against the Chardham Yatra due to high-altitude conditions, long mountain drives, unpredictable weather, and the physical demands at Kedarnath and Yamunotri. If travel is essential, consult your doctor first. Gangotri and Badrinath (no trekking involved) are relatively more accessible.

Is Kedarnath helicopter booking included in the package?

No — helicopter charges are not included in standard packages. Kedarnath helicopter slots must be booked separately via IRCTC's official portal (heliyatra.irctc.co.in). One-way tickets cost approximately ₹3,500–₹5,000. Slots fill up months in advance in peak season — book early. We can assist with the process.

When do the Chardham temples open in 2026?

Temples typically open in early May on Akshaya Tritiya (exact date announced by the temple committee each year based on the Hindu calendar). They close around Diwali or Kartik Purnima in October/November. Check the BKTC (Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee) website for confirmed 2026 opening dates before booking.

What is the Chardham Yatra registration process?

Registration is mandatory and free. Visit registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in, create an account, enter pilgrim details, upload medical certificate if above 50, select dates and dham sequence, and download your Yatra Pass. Carry a printed copy throughout the journey. Our team assists with this process as part of the package.
