Itinerary Details

Day 1 - Arrival in Bhubaneswar - Khandagiri & Udayagiri - Temple Tour

Welcome to Bhubaneshwar! Once you arrive in the Capital of Odisha, you will be greeted by our representative at the airport or railway station.
Thereafter, you'll be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Once you get there, check in and freshen up.
The very first site that you'll be visiting is the twin hills of Khandagiri & Udayagiri. Do capture the stunning sunset views here! You'll find here ancient Jain caves and rock-cut sculptures from the first century BC. In particular, you'll be exploring:
- Lion Cave: Admire the lion-carved entrance and the beautiful inscriptions here
- Queen Cave: Welcome to the largest and most elaborate cave here. Marvel at the sculpted pillar, which depicts the royal processions from yesteryear
Next, we'll be taking you on a temple tour in Bhubaneswar. It's a must-do activity for tourists, for Bhubaneswar is known as the "Temple City of India", having over 700 temples! You'll be visiting the following temples:
- Lingaraj Temple
- Mukteswar Temple
- Parsuram Temple
- Rajarani Temple
- Kedargouri Temple
We'll also take you to the beautiful Bindusagar Lake, which is said to have water from all the holy rivers of India. People also take holy dips here in its sacred waters. Do capture the gorgeous reflection views in the lake!
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Note: Nandankanan, State Museum and Tribal Museum are closed on Monday and on State Holidays.

Day 2 - Bhubaneswar Konark (70 km/2 hrs) - Puri (40 km/1 hr)

Treat yourself to a delicious breakfast in the morning.
Now, we'll drive you to Konark. On our way, we'll visit:
- Dhauli (Buddhist stupa): This Buddhist peace pagoda symbolises Emperor Ashoka's transformation!
- Pipli: This village is famous for its colourful appliqué handicrafts
Once you get there, visit the world-famous UNESCO heritage sites, that is Konark Sun Temple. Also known as the black pagoda, this glorious temple was built in the 13th century by the King Narasimha. Konark chariot wheels make for a perfect photo op here!
Now, we'll drive you towards Puri, and on the way, we'll be making a stop at:
- Chandrabhaga Beach: Enjoy clean sand and a serene atmosphere. Do capture the pretty sunsets here!
- Ramachandi Temple: It is dedicated to Goddess Ramachandi, who is also the presiding deity of the whole Konark region.
Once you get to Puri, check into your hotel and freshen up.
Now, we'll take you to the prime attraction of Puri, that is the Shri Jagannath Temple. This is one of the oldest temples in India, and is also a part of the Bada Char Dham circuit. Do capture the gorgeous views of the temple architecture.
Now, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Note: Jagannath Temple Darshan remains closed during the "Anavasara" Period, that is, Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month till Jagannath Rath Yatra.

Day 3 - Raghurajpur - Chilika (Barkul) - Gopalpur

Relish a delicious breakfast in the morning. And then get ready for a drive to Gopalpur.
On your way there, we'll be visiting:
- Raghurajpur Craft Village: Be in awe of Pattachitra paintings and palm leaf art! Take some as a souvenir if you feel like it!
- Chilika Lake at Barkul: Welcome to Asia's largest brackish water lagoon! Spot the various migratory birds that come here from faraway distances. Do take pictures of the fishermen's boats here. Also, capture pics of the flamingos and the colourful birds here.
You can also go on an exciting boat cruise to the Birds Island & Temple Island. (On a direct payment basis)
Now, continue your journey towards Gopalpur. Once you get there, check into your hotel and get some sleep for the night.

Day 4 - Beach Day in Gopalpur

Relish a nice breakfast in the morning.
Now, your whole day is reserved for fun at the beach. Enjoy cool waters and warm sand. Take numerous photos of the lovely sunrise and the sunsets here. They're especially gorgeous here since the beach faces east!
You can also opt for the visit to the following:
- Tara Tarini Temple: It's one of the oldest Shakti Peethas - the hilltop temple views are simply stunning
- Berhampur Town: Go for some local shopping here
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Bhubaneswar Departure

Take a nourishing breakfast in the morning.
Now, our driver will drive you towards the Bhubaneswar Airport or railway station, as per your preference.
If time permits, you can also visit the ISKCON Temple and Ekamra Haat (for souvenir shopping).
