Kedarnath's opening date was declared on Mahashivratri 2026 by the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC). The Panchmukhi Doli of Lord Kedarnath departs from Ukhimath a few days before the temple opening β visible at Ukhimath and Guptkashi en route to Gaurikund.
Both temples close in November after Diwali. Exact closing dates are announced by BKTC. Our team notifies all registered pilgrims as soon as dates are confirmed.

Char Dham Yatra Registration 2026 β Mandatory for All Pilgrims
Registration is free and mandatory for every pilgrim visiting Kedarnath or Badrinath in 2026. Pilgrims without a valid registration QR code are turned back at the Sonprayag checkpoint (5 km before Gaurikund) and the Pandukeshwar checkpoint (before Badrinath).
How to register: Register at registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in β you receive a QR code by SMS and email. Carry both digital and printed copy. Our team completes this process for all pilgrims booked with us before departure from Delhi.
Documents needed: Aadhaar card (original + photocopy). Medical fitness certificate required for pilgrims above 50 years or those with known heart or breathing conditions.
