Itinerary Details

Day 01 Arrive in Jhansi – Orchha Fort Complex

Welcome to Jhansi! Once you arrive at Gwalior airport/ Jhansi railway station, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our tour representative.
Now, you’ll be taken to your pre-booked hotel in Orchha (approx. 20 km / 40 min). Once you get there, check in and freshen up.
After that, we’ll start your sightseeing tour of Orchha. First and foremost, we’ll be visiting the Orchha Fort Complex. This riverside fort houses multiple palaces inside it. On your trip there, you’ll visit:
- Jehangir Mahal: Built for Mughal Emperor Jahangir, this palace is known for its stunning Indo-Islamic architecture. Do capture the pictures of the Jahangir Mahal at sunset, as it looks so beautiful at that time of day
- Raj Mahal - It’s adorned with beautiful murals that depict Hindu deities.
- Rai Praveen Mahal: This palace is dedicated to the poetess and dancer of the Bundela court, that is, Rai Praveen.
You’ll also be taken on a mini temple tour to:
- Chaturbhuj Temple: Admire its magnificent architecture
- Ram Raja Temple: Lord Rama is worshipped as a king here!
In the evening, you can enjoy the Light and Sound Show that is held at Orchha Fort.
Return to your hotel and take a restful night's sleep.

Day 02 Transfer to Khajuraho – Western Group of Temples Tour

Treat yourself to a delicious breakfast in the morning. Thereafter, get ready for a drive to Khajuraho (180 km / 4 hrs).
Once you get there, check into your hotel. Now you’ll be taken on a sightseeing tour of Khajuraho.
We’ll be visiting the Western Group of Temples today, where you’ll be exploring the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Also, you can hire a guide to hear about the backstories associated with the temples and make your experience even richer. In particular, you’ll be visiting the following temples today:
- Kandariya Mahadev Temple: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is famous for having intricate carvings. Do click pictures of the sculptures of Apsaras there.
- Lakshman Temple: This temple is renowned for having a symmetric structure.
- Chausath Yogini Temple: Dedicated to 64 Yoginis, it’s one of the oldest temples in the country.
In the evening, watch the Cultural Show or Light and Sound Show, which beautifully portrays the Khajuraho’s history through a spectacular audio-visual show. You can also witness the local dance performance there.
Your overnight stay will be in Khajuraho.

Day 03 Eastern and Southern Group of Temples – Raneh Falls – Departure

Relish a delicious breakfast in the morning.
We’ll visit the Eastern and Southern Group of Temples today. These temples are popular for the depiction of human emotions, stages of life, entertainment of the era, and even Apsaras! Marvel at the mesmerising sculptures as well as the sensuous statues here.
Visit the beautiful temples of:
- Parshvanatha Temple: This Jain temple is known for its peaceful atmosphere.
- Adinath Temple: This shrine is decorated with delicate carvings.
- Ghantai Temple: Its unique architecture featuring a columned design will steal your heart in the blink of an eye.
After the cultural trip, we’ll take you on a little tour of the nature, if time permits. Visit the beautiful Raneh Falls, which is about a 20 km drive from Khajuraho. Enjoy the multi-coloured canyon and serene waterfalls here, which make for a perfect photo op!
This concludes your trip with us. Now, you’ll be dropped off at the Khajuraho airport or railway station, from where you can continue your further journey. Hope you have a nice trip!
