However, Gujarat is also quite vast. Dwarka alone is about 440 km by road from Ahmedabad. This 5-night, 6-day tour starts and ends in Ahmedabad and covers Dwarka, Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar, Porbandar, Somnath, Junagadh and Gondal, with private road transfers and five nights in hotels. The tour starts in Ahmedabad. Fly. The train from Bangalore to Gujarat takes more than a day each way, so it adds at least two days to the trip.

Air India listed one-way Bangalore to Ahmedabad economy fares from about ₹5,400 to ₹6,100 in October 2026, and fares climb around Diwali, Christmas and New Year, so check live fares before you fix dates. Dress modestly at every temple on this route and follow the instructions posted at the entrance. Akshardham is the strictest. Its written dress code asks for shoulders, upper arms and navel to be covered and clothing below the knee; if your outfit falls short, they lend a sarong against a refundable ₹300 deposit. Light cotton works for most of the year, with a light jacket for December and January mornings.

Your Gujarat trip begins in Bangalore. You board a flight from Kempegowda International Airport to Ahmedabad, about 2 hours 15 minutes away. As soon as you arrive at Ahmedabad Airport, our representative welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel.
The rest of the day is yours. If you land by early afternoon, you can visit Gandhi Ashram (Sabarmati Ashram), where Gandhi lived from 1917 to 1930; parts of it are under redevelopment and may be closed. Otherwise, rest. Tomorrow is the longest drive of the tour. Overnight in Ahmedabad.
After an early breakfast, we leave Ahmedabad for the sacred city of Dwarka, with a lunch stop on the highway.
Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is open for evening Darshan from 5 pm to 9 pm. If we reach Dwarka in time, you can go straight there and take a dip in the holy waters of the Gomti at Gomti Ghat, just behind the temple. If the drive runs late, you will see it the next evening. We start early with breakfast at the hotel and go to Bet Dwarka first, because the island temple closes from 12 pm to 4:30 pm. The drive to Okha is about 30 km. From there, the vehicle crosses Sudarshan Setu, the 2.32 km bridge opened in February 2024, so the standard itinerary no longer needs the old ferry crossing.
Bet Dwarka is an island steeped in mythology; it is believed to be where Lord Krishna lived with his family. On the way back, we stop at Gopi Talav and then at the revered Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, about 18 km from Dwarka.
Before entering town, we visit the Rukmini Devi Temple, about 2 km outside Dwarka. The evening is kept for the Aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple. Overnight in Dwarka.
With the Porbandar stop and lunch, this is a full day on the road. We leave Dwarka early and stop at Porbandar after about 105 km. Here you visit Kirti Mandir and, right next to it, the ancestral house where Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869. You will also visit the Sudama Temple.
From Porbandar it is about 125 km to Somnath. We visit Bhalka Tirth and Triveni Sangam, where the Hiran, Kapila and Saraswati rivers meet, then attend the 7 pm Aarti at Somnath Temple. The light and sound show starts around 8 pm. The Trust does not run it in the monsoon or on rainy days, so treat it as a bonus. Overnight in Somnath; see our hotels in Somnath for options.
Another full day. We make an early start and stop at Junagadh, about 90 km from Somnath, to see the Uparkot Fort.
Next comes Gondal, a former princely state about 65 km further. Here you visit the Naulakha Palace and the Swaminarayan Akshar Mandir. The royal vintage car collection is managed by the palace and is not always open to day visitors, so we confirm access before your trip. By evening we reach Rajkot, about 40 km away. Overnight in Rajkot.
On the final day, after breakfast, we drive back to Ahmedabad, about 4 hours. Both stops today are close to the airport: Adalaj Stepwell, begun in 1498, is about 15 km away, and Akshardham in Gandhinagar is about 21 km away.
Book your return flight after 7 pm. With an earlier flight, we drive straight to the airport and skip the stops. Akshardham is closed on Mondays, so on a Monday we visit only Adalaj. Our representative then drops you at Ahmedabad airport or railway station for your journey back to Bangalore. This is the end of our services.

Ans: It can be adapted, depending on mobility and comfort with long drives. Dwarkadhish Temple is reached by more than 50 steps. Somnath Temple has wheelchairs and golf carts at the main gate and a lift inside. Bet Dwarka no longer involves a boat. If the 440 km drive on Day 2 is too much, ask for a night halt on the way; it adds one day.
