• Day 01 – Arrive at Kathmandu

  Your trip will begin upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Here, you will be met by our representatives and then be transferred to your accommodations in Kathmandu. Dinner and overnight stay are included at your hotel.

  At 7 pm in the evening (local time), you will receive a tour briefing from our reps. We will later retire for the day and rest for the upcoming journey.

• Day 02 – Sightseeing in Kathmandu

  The second day of the journey will see us officially commence our overland Yatra to Kailash Mansarovar. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, our traveling party go do some sightseeing in the city. We will cover sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Jal Narayan Temple, and more.

  We will return to our hotel room by the evening and start preparing for the tour tomorrow.

• Day 03 – Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabrubesi

  The third day of our Yatra will see us move from the capital city of Kathmandu, but only after a belly-full of breakfast in the morning. You should prepare for a scenic drive as today we will travel through the countryside. Our destination? Either Dhunche (2000m above sea level) or Syabrubesi (1600m above sea level). The journey will take approximately 6 to 7 hours.

  Upon reaching the destination of the day, we will settle into a cozy guesthouse for an overnight stay.

• Day 04 – Drive to Kyirong Country

  We will begin today with a 45-minute drive from the beautiful embrace of Syabrubesi to Rasuwagadhi, which is the border crossing between Nepal and Tibet.

  Next, you will need to complete the necessary immigration and customs procedures to lawfully enter the Tibetan region. Don’t worry; our representatives will help you every step of the way. From there, our traveling party will embark on a 3-hour drive covering 105 km in total, winding our way into Kyirong County. We will rest and adjust to the altitude in our pre-booked hotel rooms.

• Day 05 – Stay at Kyirong Country

  The fifth day of our trip is an official rest day. Today is dedicated to acclimatizing to the higher altitude in preparation for your Kailash Mansarovar trek. You are free to enjoy the day as you wish; we might even go for a short preparatory trek.

  Later in the evening, we will retire to our hotel rooms for an early night of sleep.

• Day 06 – Drive to Dongba/ Saga

  The sixth day of this beautiful trip will see us rise early with the sun. After a hearty breakfast, we will embark on a day filled with stunning landscapes as we drive towards Dongba. The drive will take around 7 hours on our bus and we will weave through some of the iconic sites, such as the majestic Thorong La pass as well as the mesmerizing Paige-Tso Lake. You will also gaze upon the vastness of the great Brahmaputra River.

  Upon arrival, unwind and recharge at your hotel.

• Day 07 – Dongba to Mansarovar Lake

  Start your day with an early rise and embark on a breathtaking 7-hour drive to the sacred Mansarovar Lake. On our journey, you will have the opportunity to take in the ever-changing scenery on your way as we traverse through landscapes of extraordinary beauty.

  Upon arrival at Mansarovar Lake, we will complete the Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake by our vehicle. The journey is around 105 km and will take around 2 to 3 hours. Later, we will settle in at a guesthouse near the lake’s shore. You can catch your first glimpse of the Holy Mount Kailash from here. Retire for the night in your rooms.

• Day 08 – Lake Mansarovar to Darchen

  Day 8, and we are officially at the halfway mark of our trip. Today, we will rise early in the morning and soak in the sacred beauty of the Mansarovar Lake - it is a sight that you would not want to miss out on! In the afternoon, you can take a dip in the holy waters of the Lake and perform a Puja.

  After this spiritual experience, our traveling party will embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to Darchen, which will be our final destination of the day. Settle into your hotel for a restful night in preparation for the journey ahead.

• Day 09 – First Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

  The ninth day is quite a significant day in our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, as today we will begin our Parikrama of Mount Kailash. However, do note that this is something that is contingent on permits from Chinese authorities.

  We will either drive straight to Ashtapad for a closer starting point or begin our trek to Dirapuk directly from Yamdwar. This initial segment of Kailash Parikrama is around 10 km in distance and will offer our traveling party a breathtaking encounter with the North Face of the sacred mountain.

  Now, folks here have the opportunity to opt out of a full trek and travel to Darchen. We will later reunite with the folks that have returned to the base in Darchen.

• Day 10 – Second Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

  The tenth day will see us continue our Parikrama of Mount Kailash. We will wake up early in the morning and prepare for the most challenging leg of the Kailash Parvat Parikrama. This 22 km trek begins with an arduous climb from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass. You are advised to pace yourself for this journey and take breaks as often as needed.

  Later, we will descend to Gauri Kund and trek alongside the river towards Zuthulphuk, where we will spend the night. We will also travel to Shivasthal, from where we can marvel at the eastern face of Mount Kailash.

• Day 11 – Drive to Dongba/ Saga

  Today will be the third and final day of Mount Kailash Parikrama. It is a shorter stretch as well, covering only 8 km in 3 hours. Then, we will return to Darchen and reunite with fellow group members who didn't participate in the full trek.

  Later in the day, we will embark on a scenic return drive to Dongba, where we will settle for a restful overnight stay at your hotel. This is officially the beginning of our return leg.

• Day 12 – Dongba to Kyirong

  We will begin the day with a return journey to Kyirong County. The drive will cover a distance of 270 km, offering glimpses of the changing landscapes over approximately 6 hours. We will reach Kyirong by the late evening, where our traveling party will settle in for a restful night at the pre-booked hotel.

• Day 13 – Drive to Kathmandu

  Our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra nears its end on this penultimate day. Today, we will make our way back to the bustling capital city of Kathmandu. During the journey, we will cross the Rasuwagadhi border and attend to necessary immigration formalities. Our journey on this day will take somewhere around 8 to 10 hours. Upon arrival, we will retire to our hotel rooms for dinner and sleep.

• Day 14 – Departure from Kathmandu

  Now, we are on the final day of our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

  We will again rise early in the morning and then enjoy a leisurely breakfast with the rest of the traveling party before your departure. Your day is free to do as you wish - you can rest before your flight; however, we recommend a last-minute exploration of the city. We will ensure a timely transfer to the airport so you can continue your journey without any issues.
