It remains closed in winters for six months as the temperature goes down to zero degree and the entire landscape is covered in snow which blocks the road.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Timings<\/strong> &#8211; 6 am to 10 pm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Best Time to Visit-<\/strong> May To October<\/li>\n<li><strong>Entry Fee<\/strong>&#8211; No entry Fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Opening_Ritual_and_Ceremony\"><\/span>Opening Ritual and Ceremony<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The temple will open its portal on 22 April 2025 and it will be marked by vibrant celebration for the devotees of Lord Shiva.<\/li>\n<li>The celebration for the opening date will actually begin two days before the actual date at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath.<\/li>\n<li>Omkareshwar Temple is also the winter seat of Madhyamaheshwar. The most important highlight of the celebration is Chal Viigraha which is a three day possession of the idol of Shri Madhyamaheshwar in a palanquin called \u2018Utsav Doli\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>The procession covers Ransi village where it will pause at Raksehwari Temple. The following day, the procession will visit Gaundar from Ransi which is a 7 km trek. In the morning on 22 April, The Utsav Doli will arrive at the temple complex.<\/li>\n<li>The priest will conduct special rituals and prepare to open the sacred gates of Madhyamaheshwar Temple. Once the Pooja is done, devotees will be able to get divine blessings from Lord Shiva.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Closing_Rituals_and_Ceremony\"><\/span>Closing Rituals and Ceremony<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Temple closes in the month of November. On the day of closure, the portals are opened in the morning.<\/li>\n<li>The priest conducts puja and performs rituals to close the gates. Devotees get the last darshan before the closing of gates.<\/li>\n<li>The self-manifested Shivling will be ceremonially taken to its Samadhi form, decorated with local flowers, fruits and Akshat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Madhyamaheshwar Temple is a place of blissful solace. One must visit here at least once in their lifetime.
