If you are traveling to Chopta from Delhi, you will have to cover nearly 448 km of distance on the road and the remaining 3.5 km to Tungnath on foot. The trek to Tungnath from Chopta can be covered easily in around 2-3 hours.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Reach_Chopta_By_Road\"><\/span><strong>How to Reach Chopta By Road<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Route from Delhi<\/strong>: You\u2019ll have to take the\u00a0<strong><em>Delhi \u2013 Meerut \u2013 Haridwar \u2013 Rishikesh \u2013 Srinagar Garhwal \u2013 Rudraprayag Kund \u2013 Chopta<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Public Transport<\/strong>: From Delhi\u2019s Kashmiri Gate ISBT, buses to Rishikesh are available. From Rishikesh, you can catch a bus early in the morning to Ukhimath, and then you can take a taxi to Chopta.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shared Taxis<\/strong>: Alternatively, you can take a shared taxi from Rishikesh to Srinagar or Rudraprayag, and then you can take another taxi to Ukhimath. You will then take a taxi to Chopta.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Travel Tip<\/strong>: To reach Chopta you should start early in the morning within daylight hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can\u00a0embark on an enjoyable drive to Chopta\u00a0as it has good connectivity through the roads. To visit\u00a0Tungnath Temple, you will have to first visit Chopta which is situated at a distance of around 3.5 km. You will have to trek for around two to three hours to reach the temple. The trek to Tungnath from Chopta is about a gradual climb, and you will get to enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas along the way. The trek is very easy making it ideal for even first-time trekkers.<\/p>\n<p>From the base, you will have to climb around 1.5 kilometers and during the entire route, you can enjoy the surreal views of the stretched and long grass fields. For trekkers, it is the first step, and you can see people sitting on the grass field. You will also find some food joints on the right and left sides of the trail. En route to Tungnath, you can stop by three specific spots \u2013Deoria Tal, Sari, and Chopta.<\/p>\n<p>The entire trek is well-maintained, and on both sides, there are some benches.
