During this time of the year, chances of landslides increase, and several delays in the journey due to the blockage of routes. During monsoon, the temperature of Kedarnath is between 15\u00b0C and 12\u00b0C. The monsoon starts in July in Kedarnath, and the region receives an average amount of rainfall. The average temperature during this season ranges between 6\u00b0C and 15\u00b0C. The rainy and cloudy weather makes the yatra very challenging. In August, the average temperature is between 8\u00b0C and 14\u00b0C. The nights become very cold during this month and days remain humid. In the winter season, Lord Kedar\u2019s idol is shifted to Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath from Kedarnath Temple.
