On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a puja was performed by Ravindra Acharya and Vedpathis in the presence of Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Ajendra Ajay at the Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhi Math.

A significant update has been revealed regarding the Char Dham Yatra. The announcement has been made for the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham on the occasion of Mahashivratri. The doors of the eleventh Jyotirlinga, Shri Kedarnath Dham, will open at 7 am on Friday, May 10th.

On May 5th, the puja of Bhairavnath Ji will be performed at the Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhi Math. The panchmukhi idol of Lord Kedarnath will depart from the Panch Kedar Gadisthal at the Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhi Math on May 6th. Through various stages, it will reach Kedarnath Dham on the evening of May 9th.

On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, puja, archana, and panchang calculation were performed by Ravindra Acharya, BKTC President Ajendra Ajay, and Vedpathis at the Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhi Math. After the ceremony, the date for the opening of the gates of Shri Kedarnath Dham was decided.

During this time, the Shri Omkareshwar Temple was adorned with 11 quintals of flowers. Donors distributed food and prasad to the devotees. BKTC President Ajendra Ajay extended his greetings to the devotees for Mahashivratri, mentioning the record number of pilgrims who visited Kedarnath Dham last year.

This year too, there is expected to be an increase in the number of devotees. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government and the temple committee are committed to providing facilities to the pilgrims. The team of the temple committee will soon reach Kedarnath to assess the preparations for the pilgrimage.

The program for the departure of Shri Kedarnath Dham from the Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhi Math has also been announced. According to the program, the puja of Bhairavnath Ji will be performed on May 5th, and the panchmukhi bhog murti of Lord Kedarnath will depart from the Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhi Math on May 6th, reaching Kedarnath Dham through various stages.

On May 6th, the first stage is Guptkashi, the second stage is Phata on the 7th, the third stage is Gaurikund on the 8th, and on the evening of May 9th, the panchmukhi doli will reach Shri Kedarnath Dham. The doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham will open at 7 am on Friday, May 10th.

For Shri Kedarnath Dham, the priests have been assigned responsibilities for Shri Kedarnath Dvitiya and Shri Madmaheshwar Temple. They will handle the worship of the Shivshankar Ling for Shri Kedarnath Dham. For Shri Madmaheshwar, the responsibility of worshiping the Tee Gangadhar Ling will be undertaken. Extra Lingams have also been kept at Shri Bagesh Lingam. The Shiv Ling Chapata will be worshipped at the Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhi Math.

At the time of announcing the date for the opening of the gates, present were Ajendra Ajay, the president of the Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, Chand Prasad Bhatt, Vice President of the Seemant Vikas Parishad, Ravindra Bhimashankar Ling, and others.

The Doors of Badrinath Dham will open on this day

The doors of Badrinath Dham will open at the Brahmamuhurt, 6 am, on May 12th. It is noted that the date for the opening of the gates was announced at the Rajdarbar in Narendra Nagar (Tehri) on the occasion of Basant Panchami. On the day of Basant Panchami, Wednesday morning, after the start of the religious ceremony, worship, panchang calculation, the date for opening the doors of the Dham was announced.

The Date for Gangotri-Yamunotri has been announced

The announcement has been made for the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham as well. The gates of both Dhams will open on Akshaya Tritiya. Before the opening of the gates, the administration is gearing up for preparations to provide better facilities to the pilgrims. Roads, Dharamshalas, as well as drinking water and health facilities, are being strengthened.
