Baba Baidyanath Temple Timings

Baba Baidyanath Dham temple door opens at 4:00 am. Devotees visit Baba Baidyanath Dham for the morning darshan from 5:00am to 2:00 pm.
The Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple closes from 3:00 pm to 6:00pm. During this time priests prepare the arrangements in the temple for evening worship.
The portals of Baba Baidyanath Dham again open in the evening at 6:00pm.
Shringar Puja at Baba Baidyanath Temple is performed at 6:10 pm.
Devotees come to Baba Baidyanath Temple for evening darshan from 6:30 pm. They also participate in the evening Aarti ceremony of lord Shiva.
The Baba Baidyanath Temple closes at 8:00 pm.

Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple Rituals

The rituals of Baba Baidyanath Dham is a testament of everlasting faith in Lord Shiva. In Baba Baidyanath there are many rituals to honor Lord Shiva. Some of the most famous rituals in the temple are-

Gat Bandhan Puja- It is a sacred matrimony ritual of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The Puja is performed in the temple complex. Gath Bandhan means sacred bond of togetherness. Married couples are seen as a divine union, symbolizing the sacred bond of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. In this puja, a sacred red ribbon is tied at the top of Baba Baidyanath which is connected to Devi Parvati in the Shakti Peeth.
Rudrabhishek Puja– Worshipping the Rudra form of lord Shiva is highly auspicious to remove negative energies and ailments from life. In Rudrabhishek Puja, water is constantly poured on Shivling along with Vedic mantras by the priest. Offerings of Ghee, Curds, Honey, Cow milk, Sugar, Sugarcane, Coconut Water and Ganga Jal are made to get the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Shaktipeeth Sringar Puja– Shakti Peeth Srinagar puja is done in the honor of Goddess Sati who resides in Baba Baidyanath Dham. The temple is also known as Hriday Peeth as Devi Satis heart fell here. The devil is decorated in 16 Shringar. Priests chant Mantra and offer various fruits, flowers, sweets for good health and prosperity.
Maha Shivratri Celebration– Maha Shivratri is celebrated in baba Baidyanath Dham with great pomp and show. Devotees visit the temple to pray to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for a happy married life and prosperity.
Kanwar Yatra– It is one of the most important ceremonies celebrated in baba BaidyaNath Dham. In the month of Shravan, devotees undertake a 105 km long trek from Sultanganj to Baba Baidyanath Dham with their decorated Kanwar which contains Gangaajal and offer GangaJal to the Shivling.
